The Anti-Christ is An Idol We Worship Out of Fear

The Anti-Christ is an idol we worship out of fear,
Not seeing it for the illusion it is.
The Christ in us doesn’t worship idols,
For it knows itself complete,
With no need to seek beyond itself for worth, happiness and safety.
The Anti-Christ is an idol that you worship
Believing it will give you power you don’t believe you already possess.
This false-belief we worship in fear,
Believing there’s a place in us God can’t come,
And a condition God can’t save us from.
A dark power greater than God,
Is the false belief that makes us tremble and quail,
And makes us willing to sacrifice our blood, sweat and tears to it.
To this world of idols we came
to seek for yet one more special deity,
That it might offer us a gift our reality does not contain.
Here, we seek and search outside ourselves
For the heaven of completion and unending supply,
All the while it waits for us all within ourselves,
Free forever.
